Hear the Alfar softly singing
Raise their voice rejoicing in song.
Loving laughter echoes after;
Soon another will sing along.
Dark in the dawn they can dance in the melody,
Twined in the harmony, silently, wild and free;
Songs of the morning sun, turn and run, sing.

Elvin blood knows elvin longings
Changeling hearts hear calls unknown
Swift and swallow, turn and follow,
Lest my kinfolk vanish alone.
Why won't you wait for me, let me join in your song?
Won't you let me belong, sing along, follow on?
Trapped in your song so pure, I am your kin.
